KSE index falls further, crosses 10,000-point barrier downward

Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) index posted a record downward approach in Monday's operations crossing the 10,000-point barrier downward with one expert assuring investors that the record fall had been forecast as a yearly correction tendency.

The KSE index, in operations posted at the middle of the day, shed 356.6 points and reached the level of 9867.4 points, with the volume of the dealt-in stocks amounting to 134.4 million, with a value of 62.7 million Kuwaiti dinars, distributed over 5,378 cash transactions.

Shortly earlier, the KSE index dropped by 186 points to reach 10,038 points, and the volume of traded stocks reached 82.4 million, valued at 36.2 million Kuwaiti dinars and distributed over 3,091 cash transactions.

Early in the morning, it nose-dived by 77.7 points to reach the level of 10, 146.3 points and a prominent market expert related the record bearish trend to regular dives at this particular time of the year. Volume of traded stocks reached 22.6 million, valued at 11.7 million Kuwaiti dinars and distributed over 1,075 cash transactions. (pickup previous) kg.ws.
